International Summer School 2024 Creating Growth for Small and Medium Enterprises in Georgia
Background: Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) are the backbone of the Economy in Georgia and Germany. The international summer school aims to qualify business students coached by experienced professors to apply selected methods of strategic management in order to generate appropriate growth strategies for cooperating SMEs in Georgia.
The starting point of the summer school is the Ansoff matrix, which shows all theoretical possibilities for companies to grow. Based on the Matrix, different approaches of strategic management will be taught and applied for the companiy cases.
Objective: Defining concepts and concrete measures to enable local SME in Georgia to detect new growth potentials.

Tbilisi Humanitarian Teaching University (https://thu.edu.ge/en),
East European University (https://eeu.edu.ge/?lang=en).
Format: Groups of international business students from Germany and Georgia at bachelor and master level spend one intensive week to define potential concepts and will present them on the final day to potential stakeholders. Throughout the week they will be coached by experienced experts from both countries.

Costs & Fees:
No program fees are charged by the Georgian side. Students must pay for their own flights and accommodation. However, accommodation is booked by the university in Tbilisi. Costs are approx. 30 euros per night.
